Backdrop It’s a bright Saturday afternoon in a lively park—kids play, families gather, and the breeze carries the scent of fresh-cut grass. Cast • Grace (Christian adult) • Jayden (15) • Mia (14) • Eli (13) Scene 1 — The Question (Grace sits on a bench with a small Bible. The kids approach.) Mia: Why do you read that book so much? Grace: It tells me who God is and how He loves us. If you stood before God today, what would you say if He asked, “Why should I let you into Heaven?” Eli: I try to be good. Jayden: I don’t really think about that. Scene 2 — The Problem: Sin Grace: The Bible says we have all sinned—we’ve broken God’s commands in our hearts and actions. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23 Grace: Sin includes lying, disobedience, selfishness, hateful words, and anything against God. “For the wages of sin is death…” — Romans 6:23a Scene 3 — The Rescue: Jesus Grace: Here’s the good news: God sent Jesus to rescue sinners. “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8 Grace: Jesus lived perfectly, died for our sins, and rose again. “…Christ died for our sins… he was buried… he was raised on the third day…” — 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 Scene 4 — Jesus Speaks (Grace opens the Bible.) Grace: Listen to Jesus’ own words: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” — John 14:6 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16 Scene 5 — A Loving Warning Grace: Jesus warned people plainly because He loves us enough to tell the truth. “Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” — Luke 13:3 Grace: That is mercy. He is saying, “Turn to Me and live.” Scene 6 — The Invitation Jayden: So what do we do? Grace: Repent—turn from sin—and trust Jesus. Don’t just know about Him; rely on Him. “…if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith… not a result of works…” — Ephesians 2:8–9 Scene 7 — A Simple Prayer (Optional) Grace: Prayer isn’t magic words, but if you mean it, you could pray: “God, I know I have sinned. I can’t save myself. I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again. Please forgive me and make me Yours. I trust Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Amen.” After the Skit — For the Reader If you’re unsure where you stand with God, don’t put it off. Come to Jesus today. “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 Reflection Questions 1) What does it mean to repent? 2) Are you trusting your goodness—or Jesus’ finished work? 3) Who can you lovingly share the Gospel with this week? Reflection Prompt When was the last time you shared the Gospel? Who might need a gentle, loving nudge toward salvation? Pray for them, reach out, or invite them to read Scripture with you.
