“Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31)

Everyday life can feel so ordinary—emails, errands, meetings, chores. Yet heaven is watching how we live in the small things. And so are the unsaved around you. They are quietly asking, “Do you really believe what you say you believe?”

Some are not reading a Bible. They are reading *you*.

They watch how you speak when you’re frustrated, how you respond when you’re wronged, how you act when no one seems to be looking. They notice if your Sunday words match your Monday life.

Many have been wounded by people who called themselves Christians but lived in open hypocrisy. Maybe you’ve heard it:

“I knew a ‘Christian’ who lied to my face.”
“I worked for a ‘Christian’ boss who cheated people.”
“I saw ‘church people’ gossip and tear others down.”

These stories build walls around hearts. But Jesus never called us to put on a religious show. He called us to follow Him in truth.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

Your workplace, your home, your neighborhood—these are your mission fields. The break room, the Zoom call, the grocery line—these are your pulpits. You may feel unseen, but your life is preaching a message every day.

Ask yourself:

• What do my coworkers learn about Jesus from the way I work?
• What do my children, spouse, or friends learn about Jesus from the way I speak?
• What does my social media say about what I truly love?

Honoring God in daily living is not about perfection. It is about consistency, humility, and repentance when you fall. The world doesn’t need to see a flawless Christian. They need to see an honest one.

“By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35)

People are watching how you treat the difficult coworker, the slow cashier, the family member who pushes every button. They are watching how you talk about others when they are not in the room. Love in these hidden moments shouts louder than any sermon.

When you choose integrity at work instead of cutting corners…
When you refuse to laugh at the cruel joke…
When you apologize instead of defending your pride…
When you serve quietly without needing credit…

…you are honoring God in the ordinary.

“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” (Luke 9:23)

Daily cross-carrying looks like:

• Saying no to gossip even when it makes you feel left out.
• Doing your work with excellence even when no one thanks you.
• Choosing purity in what you watch, listen to, and laugh at.
• Forgiving quickly instead of holding grudges.

This is where the watching world sees the difference Jesus makes.

Maybe you feel convicted as you read this. Perhaps you see places where your life has not matched your words. That conviction is not condemnation—it is an invitation. Jesus is calling you back to a life that honors Him.

Come to Him honestly:

“Lord, I confess my hypocrisy. Forgive me for the times I have misrepresented You. Change my heart. Let my life match my words. Shine through me in the ordinary places of my day. In Jesus’ Name, amen.”

Today, ask the Holy Spirit to show you one specific area where you can honor God more fully—in your work, your words, your thoughts, or your relationships. Then obey quickly.

The unsaved are watching. But more importantly, your Father in heaven is watching with love. May your life point them—not to your goodness—but to His.”
